HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Mar 4, 2006 Bottle Qu’ est que ce? The beer pours amber golden with a smallish head. Aroam is non-descript maybe a touch fruity. Flavor is fairly watery, not much substance. It is not quite clear what dominates here, but contary to some other rates I did not have the feeling that it was carbonated too much or too dry. However something was missing. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 27, 2006 The lasting impression I get from this beer is that is a little bit too sweet. I agree with previous poster that this beer is too carbonated and dry for the mouth, so the palate feels deprived after taking a swing of this. The flavor is pretty good, but it is a shame that the initial taste only lasts for a moment, then disappears. Some hops comes through to mask the sweetness as the beer warms up, but there are definitely some holes in this brew. After a while this start to grow on you, so maybe these guys know what they are doing after all. CMUBEERMAN (415), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Feb 19, 2006 Pours a carmel gold with a big white head. Smells a bit creamy and malty...some acidity aswell. Flavor is fairly malty and a bit citrusy sweet...some decent hop bitterness to round out the end of it. Mouthfeel is very carbonated and dry. Quevillon (1519), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Jan 17, 2006 Très bonne bonne ale à la fois légère et amère. Un arome de céréal frais et un petit goût de fruit. HazelRah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada Jan 8, 2006 Dark honey amber with sticky-thick head. Malty flavour with some hop dryness on the finish. After a few ounces it kind of reminds me of an English ESB. turg (156), Quebec, Canada Dec 26, 2005 Bottle. Appearance: Amber-orange with white foamy head. Aroma: great aroma, fruity and hoppy. Flavor: malty, citrous. CoolerKing (14), Burlington, Ontario, Canada Dec 10, 2005 Amber-orange in colour, pours with a foamy head. Nice earthy, fruity aroma. Very easy drinking ale, nice balance between slight fruity taste and mildly bitter finish. rsans (125), Pont-Rouge, Quebec, Canada Dec 6, 2005 Bottle. Amber color with a off-white head and good lacing. A bit cloudy. Caramel malt and honey notes in the flavour. A medium-bodied with a very good hop bouquet.. The taste is malty with a nice hoppy bitterness. Long and a bit bitter after taste finish. Great balance. Solid and enjoyable. The majority of macros don’t come close to this. This is a ale that I have recently developed a taste for as an everyday beer.
