Dec 10, 2005 Amber-orange in colour, pours with a foamy head. Nice earthy, fruity aroma. Very easy drinking ale, nice balance between slight fruity taste and mildly bitter finish.

Dec 6, 2005 Bottle. Amber color with a off-white head and good lacing. A bit cloudy. Caramel malt and honey notes in the flavour. A medium-bodied with a very good hop bouquet.. The taste is malty with a nice hoppy bitterness. Long and a bit bitter after taste finish. Great balance. Solid and enjoyable. The majority of macros don’t come close to this. This is a ale that I have recently developed a taste for as an everyday beer.

Nov 2, 2005 12oz bottle, brought back from Montreal. BB 28 FEV 06. Served at 55.5°/13°C in my Duvel tulip. Pours reddish copper with a small, off white head. The beer coats the glass and leaves foam spattered around the edges. The aroma is caramel, earthy, spicy hops, fragrant. The flavor is light malt with a strong earthiness at first that turns into a mighty earthy, rye bread, slightly spicy, pine flavor and finishes moderately bitter with some mild citrus fighting it’s way along the earthy hops. A nice pale ale. The hops used are not my favorite.

Sep 20, 2005 A really nice alternative to the usual characteristics of American Pale Ales. Much more restrained in the hops and subtle. Very drinkable.

Sep 8, 2005 Bottle acquired in trade with boutip (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, and somewhat fruity. Tastes of citrus, flowers and fruity. I found the tastes to be on the watery side with a thin body. Ligthtly sweet and very lightly bitter.

Aug 12, 2005 Updated: Nov 3, 2005Nice looking ale with a great aroma - fruity and hoppy. Very easy drinking - almost disturbingly so. Clean, slightly sweet with a strong character.
A perfect summer brew. How I missed this one is a mystery to me. I will be putting this on my (ever growing) list of regulars.
