Commodore (112), Ontario, Canada Jun 20, 2005 Poured golden colour with the perfect head. Just the sweet side of balanced. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 20, 2005 Thanks pintbypint. Poured a dark godl, almost orange color. The aroma is sweet caramel and bananas. The taste is light grapefruit with some dark bread crust. There is also a note of black pepper in the aftertaste, but it is faint. A nice varation on an APA. I think this might be closer to an amber, but shows that the style has a lot of potential for diversity. More well balanced than many in the style. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA May 19, 2005 Clear Light Brown Coloring with Good White Head. Sweet Malt Aroma. Wet, Sweet Malt...Light Cardboard Taste. Decent Ale. Présence du corps. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 30, 2005 Dark gold color with no head. Just a slight grain aroma. More of the same in the taste, just a bit of grain. I didn’t get any hops at all; it was more like a bland pale lager. Disappointing. rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Apr 28, 2005 Light orangish-amber color, big foamy head, fruity, floral hop, pale malt aromas, follow through on a medium-bodied with a very good hop character, malty note and a nice dose of dry bittering hop finish. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA Mar 19, 2005 Amber color. Sweet hop aroma. Nice and sweet with hops. A good enjoyable beer, but nothing to make it stand above the crowd. highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia Mar 18, 2005 Updated: Apr 23, 2009A refreshing, easy-drinking APA from glorious Quebec. Not as muscular as many North American examples of the style - this is at the lighter, summery end of the scale. Amber body with a shallow cap of suds. Really inviting aroma of nutty malts, lychee and toffee. Quite a restrained example of the style. Some caramel malt flavour underpins piney hops. I prefer something a bit chewier than this but this is very sessionable. (341ml bottle from Leura Cellars. BB 31/7/09)
