Grassy and fruity hops aroma. The flavor is hoppy but not overly bitter and then fruity and manbe tangy. Bitter finish. Light body, slightly watery texture, lively carbonation. This used to be an amazing beer but now it is decent at best. TipsyMcStager (916), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2004 Aroma is hoppy, mixed with sweet malts. Pours a beautiful golden brown, thick bubbly white head that sticks around. Half-decent malt precence for an American Pale. Hop bitterness is present, but I would have liked it more aggresively hopped. A decent beer but falls short of being great. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 21, 2004 Clear, light copper appearance with a thick (at first), off white head. Grassy, earthy aroma not unlike an Italian pinot; this nose really grew on me. Medium-bodied, moderately bitter, with lively carbonation. The taste was a little fruity up front and led to a well hopped, dry finish. Thanks to tiggmtl for the trade. tupalev (2611), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2004 On tap, St. Lawrence beer show. I found this to be a little thinner than what I remember. The nose was certainly hoppy, but it had something else in it - I don’t know, I came up with Windex, so maybe it was the condition of the keg. Anyway, the body is still very crisp and thin for an IPA, yet is quite balanced between malt and hops and turns out quite good. Again, a little to carbonated for my liking, so it may have been the serving condition of he beer that is affecting my rating, much like the apricot. Good offering though. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

To me it just didn’t taste hoppy enough. This is still a solid effort with a good balance of malt and hops, but I expect a little hop flavour from an IPA. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

Murky orange /brown body with a foamy tan head with some great lacing. Really good pale ale. Fruity and bitter hops flavor with a mild breadiness. Long lasting aftertaste. Tasty brew.
