Grapefruit aroma with slight herbal notes. Actual malt taste found in an APA while the hops wait patiently to make an impression. A pleasant liquid texture on the way down. Tthis is a really nice summer quaff. Subtle and nicely balanced, it doesn’t try to hit you over the head with a hop mallet. curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 2, 2009 Butter’s 4th cellar reduction. Clear amber with a nice white head. Sweet orange citrus aroma but a let down as far as taste goes. Could have been a little hoppier, Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Mar 1, 2009 Bottle at the Fourth Butters’ Cellar Clearance Event. Fruity and floral hop profile with a little skunk. Nice mellow hop with a little butter, and balanced. Good for style, but not my thing. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 1, 2009 12 oz bottle at Butters’ 4th Cellar Reduction. Pours an off-white lacing head with a clear amber body. Smells of brown sugar and some hops. Taste biscuit, caramel, and hops. CanIHave4Beers (833), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Mar 1, 2009 Pours a reddish orange with a fluffy white head and nice lace. The Aroma is somewhat soapy and has so floral hops. The flavor is bright and fruity somewhat sweet at first but is overtaken by a nice bitterness. Lots of hop character to balance out sort of a weird maltiness. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Feb 17, 2009 Clear amber red body with a decent head that almost hung around. Light caramel and grapefruit on the sweet aroma. Taste is not too full on, seems dry, same notes again along with resin and pine. Drinkable and very sessionable.
