COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Ambroise Pale Ale is the brewery's flagship beer. Introduced in February 1989, it is a hoppy, amber, full-flavoured ale. In The Simon and Schuster Pocket Guide To Beer , beer critic Michael Jackson gave it three stars and described it as: "An outstanding ale... amber-red, clean and appetizing, with a very good hop character, from its bouquet to its long finish. Hoppy, fruity, and tasty all the way through."

Clear amber color with fleeting ivory sheen. Perfume, honey biscuit, floral aromas. Medium body. Nice lightly sweet honey biscuit flavors with floral hoppage--easy drinking

Crunchy malt, nice clean hops, dangerously drinkable. To be drink in a pint on McAuslan’s Terrasse. To be drink in your pint on your terrasse. Well done for so many years. A classic form this brewery. A nice introduction to "real" beer. What a commercial beer sould be.

Pas mal! Odeur un peu mielleuse, goût amer dominant mais pas aussi intense qu’une IPA. Un peu de citron. Un petit peu ’piquante’ sur la langue. Bel équilibre, bonne bière de six pack. Bien aimé.

This poured darker than I thought it would. However it was still an easy drinking pale ale. Pretty good all round.

Thanks to cards04 for this. Quite enjoyable. Bubblegum sweet aroma and flavour. Not a typical bitter hops of a APA, but rather candy sweet. Nice.

Pours amber. Sweet nose. Very sweet and malty up front with a well balanced hoppy finish. Nice stuff.

clear amber colour with lively carbonation and a head that disappears quickly. reduced aroma but it has a nice malted note, some caramel and a slight roast and a slighty floral hop note. there is alot more flavour in this beer than i thought there would be. fruity hoppy note is balanced by a malted note. pleasant on a sunny day.

Single bottle from LCBO. Pours clear amber with a decent-sized white head. Aroma is caramelly malt, black currant, and other fruits. Bready and caramelly taste, with English hops, and a slight bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

On tap, pours a amber to orange hue with a light head. On the nose caramel, ginger, earthy hops. Slightly bitter start, finishes sweet and crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
