Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 9, 2004 An amber beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is almost nonexisting - what is there is sweetness. The flavor is very dry with notes of coriander, caramel, and spices, though I can’t tell which. The flavor is very artificial. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 2, 2007 (Bottle 34,1 cl) Courtesy of Sammy. Clear, amber golden with a handsome, dense, off-white head leaving some laces. Aroma of malt and a whiff of metal. Medium-bodied, lightly sweetish malt with a touch of caramel and a dry, lightly hoppy finish. Solid craftmanship without being overly sophisticated. 310807 omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Dec 18, 2004 Bottled, thanks Rastacouere Deep golden. Aroma of fruit and hay. Fairly sweet with buttery, dense malt character and balanced bitterness. Solid and enjoyable. Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 8, 2003 Updated: Nov 3, 2006Bright copper-amber colour. Caramel malts and woody hops feature in the aroma. Moderate bitterness but little hop character to match. There is also quite a bit of caramelly, slightly toasty/earthy malt sweetness. The finish is more of the same - a pleasurable bitterness but too much caramelly malts for my taste. Well-made brew but pretty far from my ideal pale. joergen (6947), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 13, 2007 Bottle.
