COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Ambroise Pale Ale is the brewery's flagship beer. Introduced in February 1989, it is a hoppy, amber, full-flavoured ale. In The Simon and Schuster Pocket Guide To Beer , beer critic Michael Jackson gave it three stars and described it as: "An outstanding ale... amber-red, clean and appetizing, with a very good hop character, from its bouquet to its long finish. Hoppy, fruity, and tasty all the way through."

Really biscuity, hops give lychee and citrus, really well made pale ale.

341ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head that settles quicky leaving only a few spots of lace on the glass. Aroma is light malts, light fruits and light hops. Taste is light caramel malty sweetness with some hoppy bitterness. Light to medium body and decent carbonation. Average for this style of beer.

341 ml bottle. Pours a dark golden blonde with an orange-amber tint. Yellowish-white head, leaves a beautiful lacing on the glass. Smells of corn, slightly floral. Not very tasty, some bit of sweet corn, subtle toffee. Slight herbal bitterness. Somewhat standard blonde, slightly tastier than the commercial stuff.

A solid beer that is easy to drink. Sweetish in taste with hints of caramel. Nothing wrong with the beer but also nothing overly exciting

smooth and flavor forward, a bit mild on the finish, great aroma, and mouth feel, just needed a tad bit more gusto

341ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki). Brown with small whitish head. Aroma has hops and little citrus. Not bad but had so many better pale ales..

341ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
5 Initially quite lagery aroma when cold. As it warms, it becomes sweeter and spicier, maybe cookies. A touch of alcohol.
3 Rich orange, lots of lacing from teh small off-white head.
5 Pretty dull taste, sweet malts, I guess. I guess a it yeasty and some banana. Some earthiness, mushrooms, and even alcohol.
3 Smooth palate, crisp carbonation. Just feels so dead. No depth. Finish is earthy and with burnt plastic astringent bitterness
11 5% sweet beers should not smell and taste of alcohol. Simply adequate, otherwise.
