A good hit of earthiness in the nose, and nicely done eveerywhere else. I was too loaded in Toronto when I had this the first time! Original: 7/22/02: My notes only say ’Sweet - super fresh’ - uh oh. On tap at C’est What, Toronto. GiBrew (171), Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

Aroma is citrus fruits (Lemon and orange rind, a bit of grapefruit), mild yeast and malt. Flavours are very nice, citrus fruits, yeast and a bit of bitterness at first but a fairly heavy finish. Mouthfeel is quite creamy. Very refreshing pivnizub (5115), Bochum, Porúří, Germany

Superb stuff, joss ! RCL (1499), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

Pours nicely, a good creamy off-white head with an attractive orange body. Maltier and less hoppy than I expected from the aroma. A very good beer. IrishBoy (2732), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2008 12 oz bottle from Ralphs Palm Springs. Nose of light floral hops, a light peach note, sweetness, and caramel. Clear copper with a medium oatmeal colored head. Flavor was lots of caramelly malt, light hop bitterness, and some fruitiness. Would make a good session beer. Flamojune (93), Ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada

De couleur cuivrée tirant sur le rouge. Tres houblonnée, pleine de gout. Pas une coche au dessus mais en vaut pleinement la dégustation. DenisLD (20), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Dark copper in colour. Nice fluffy off-white head. Very good lacing. The smell is modestly hoppy, with a nice pine touch to it and loads of caramel maltiness. The flavour profile has some bitterness, graininess, and a bit of sweetness, with some citrus notes and biscuit-like maltiness. Light-to-medium bodied, crisp mouthfeel. A very solid performer overall. This is an excellent session ale.
