COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Ambroise Pale Ale is the brewery's flagship beer. Introduced in February 1989, it is a hoppy, amber, full-flavoured ale. In The Simon and Schuster Pocket Guide To Beer , beer critic Michael Jackson gave it three stars and described it as: "An outstanding ale... amber-red, clean and appetizing, with a very good hop character, from its bouquet to its long finish. Hoppy, fruity, and tasty all the way through."

Pours dark yellow with medium head and lively carbonation. mix of cereal / fruity taste completed with great bitterness kick. very good American pale ale. probably the best one brewed in Québec. This is my everyday beer and it’s available everywhere in the province.

Pratiquement aucune effervescence. Fiche technique : Style: American Pale Ale Format: 473 ml Taux d’alcool : 5%

Bottle. This taste different to me than most pale ale. Aroma is more of spices and grass. Tastes of caramel, fruits, herbs. I don’t notice much hop flavours going on, but it is not a bad thing. A nice medium body with little bitterness. An interesting pale ale.

Bottle from the Beer Store. Deep clear amber with a generous off-white head that slowly fades and leaves some slight lace. Nose is sweet toffee and grains with some light floral and fruity notes. Sweet fruit start with apple and pear with some bitter citrus appearing in the middle. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation and a quite long finish. Enjoyable.

From 330 ml bottle. Pours a deep but clear orange-amber with a small white head and gentle carbonation. Aromas of baked apple, raisin, flowers and a hint of orange zest. Taste is light fruit at the start before a crisp citrus hit in the mid-palate. Richer notes of dried fruit, cooked apple, pear and spice at the substantial back end. Lightly spicy aftertaste. Good stuff.

Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 11.5 oz bottle. Murky light brown pour, very thin white/grey clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has some dates and molasses. Flavor leans to the sweet side with some raisins, doughy cake mix, a touch of prunes. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Average.

Picked up a taster pack this week as I’m a huge fan of their oatmeal stout, and I thought I should try their others. Poured from bottle. Got a one finger white head that quickly dropped off. Nice copper amber colour. Aroma is a pleasant floral with hints of citrus. Lower carbination is great for a nice balance. Tastes of a nice blend of biscuit and caramel. Very nice beer!
