Aroma is yeast, caramel, toffee, sweet malts and dark fruits. Taste is instantly rich sweet malts with caramel and rich malts and a light hopiness that is balanced very well. Light pleasant spiciness. Slight warm alcohol taste but great for a 10% beer. Appearance is a copper /orange body with small fruity sediment in suspention. Very very nice beer.

Bottle 2013 vintage @ THT November. Pours a clear dark amber beer with a small white head on top. Aroma of sweet yeasty esters, red dried fruits, slight vineous and port. Nice balance in the flavor, some sweet and fruity, sligthly boozy and very malty. Lots of rich dark sugars in there. Very warming stuff. Nice.

THANKS to tom10101! 341 ml. bottle shared with Kraddel during the (Ice) Cider/Perry tasting @ Barely Legal Tasting Room. 2011 Vintage. Dark amber, very little head. Oxidized nose, herbal, biscuit, brown sugar sweet. Taste is odd herbal, tad plant-like mixed with sweet biscuit, brown sugar, oxidation, caramel, herbal bitter finish; Body shows some signs of age. I would have probably enjoyed it more had I not sampled 6 ice ciders + 1 ice perry prior to this one.

Pours a lovely dark amber colour with a thinner tan head has notes in the nose of caramel, some dried leaves and no discernable hops. Flavours of, caramel, nuts, herbs, toast, leather, alcohol, licorice, raisin and vanilla. Very tasty and lovely in it complexity. Mouth feel is a big bold thickness with a lower level of carbonation. Finishes with big vanilla notes and a slight alcohol warming. A perfect "by the fire on a cool fall evening" beer
