Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate earthy and small caramel malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
This is a complex very good beer. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

Clearish amber pour with a thin beige head. Creamy vanilla aroma with some booze and caramel, but not overly sweet smelling. Flavor backs down the sweetness even more, as it has a nice boozy caramel and fruity beginning before a pleasant bitter hop finish. Very good brew. BeerChaser0078 (323), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 12, 2009 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a beige head that quickly decreases to a ring around the top with no lacing. The nose is strong and enticing with honey, wood and a hint of fruitiness. It is fairly dry on the palate with flavours of burnt toffee, whiskey, malt and spice. Alcohol is quite noticeable. Very enjoyable however and I imagine it may improve with a couple of years aging to be an absolute showstopper. slang (397), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

Dark fruity plum vinous notes, caramelized sugars with a light etoh warming. Um then my notes read some total utter nonsense about victor being afraid to try this beer, cocaine, and feet water. And i was quoting BF2K... Yeah it was a good night!
