50cl bottle from Guid Cheese Shop, St Andrews. Pours closer to amber than hold really. Steady bubbles, nice thin white head. Nose of lemon, honey and hay. Taste of lemon again, some herbs, slight cardboard note unfortunately. Palate us light to medium bodied, texture light and zingy finish though still cardboard note. Overall a decent golden ale.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Pours a yellow colour with a fair white head. Aroma of lemon, pine, musty yeast and caramel. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.

[500ml bottle, Cornelius Beer & Wine] Pours slightly hazy gold, thin head which reduces quickly. Aroma is pretty flat - faint biscuit, cereal and some dry grass. Reasonably balanced on the taste, but again I don’t get much of the citrus hop flavour as promised. Perfectly sessionable, but needs a bit more oomph [01072012]
