COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, bold, bitter IPA not only shows off a super hop kick but a depth of orange, apricot and ropical fruit flavours that are both refreshing and complex. Crammed full of four aromatic hop varieties, a fantastically tasty beer.

Golden to orange colour with a big, foamy, white head (this dissipates quite quickly, but leaves a decent enough bit of froth. Aroma is hoppy but a bit bready or yeasty. Flavour is a nice balance of hops and malt; not too sweet and with a bit of citrus. Great texture, oily with a bit of fizz. Good beer.

500ml bottle from Tomlinsons. Clear yellow pour with clean white head. Zesty aroma, followed by apricots, hints of peach, citrus tastes. Lively carbonation with a slick finish.

Bottle at home. It pours clear amber with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is manure, toast, grass, zesty citrus, resin and light vomit. The taste is soft orange, tangerine, apricot, pine, resinous, bitter, metallic aspect and grass with a long, bitter-dry finish. Medium body and lively carbonation. I am not convinced by the smell, but it tastes pretty good.

My 1100th beer. Pours golden with some head. Nose of grapefruit and lemon barley water. Taste is more of the lemon barley water and some herbs on the finish. Palate medium bodied and textured with a tangy clean finish. Overall a well made IPA.

Bottle from The Cave. Very cloudy amber brown colour, reasonable head. Big resin hop aroma. Fruity apricot pine hop flavour. Quite light and smooth for an IPA. Refreshing.

[cask at SRAF’12] Slightly hazy golden amber, bubble white head. Lovely aroma of lemon and lime citrus, sweet toffee. Not sure if this is dry-hopped or not, but it smells and tastes like it. Great hop presence – citrus and grass on the taste, with some slightly resinous notes. Long dry finish. Impressive [28062012]

On cask at the Scottish Real Ale Festival, 2012. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of grassy hops, lemon, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Quite bitter also.

Aroma: Bitter lemon and musty shortbread. Slightly chalky.

Appearance: Hazy rust coloured body. Thin white head that quickly dissipates. Light carbonation.

Taste: Quite a strong malt taste for an IPA. Nice soft bitterness on the finish. Not a very complex flavour, but this is an easy drinking beer.

Palate: Thin mouthfeel. Slick texture. Gentle carbonation.

Overall: Dry and malty rather than fruity and hoppy. Not bad.
