Scopey (11957) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2013
Bottle at home. It pours deep reddish amber with a medium white head. The nose is wood, brown bread, toffee, toast and honey. The taste is toffee, red fruits, tart berry, toast, spice and wood with a dry, oily finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Nothing particularly wrong with it, its just a fairly simple rye ale. OK.

Clear red (to-copper) with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel malt, bread. Flavour is moderatley sweet, with a sour-to-salty finish. OK, but promises more on the eyes than it delivers with the finish.
