Atypical abbey tripel with loose, snow white head and deep amber colour, darker than customary for the style. Sweet aroma of orange, peach, caramel, nuts, a hint of burnt rubber and iron; sweet fruity taste, slick and a bit oily mouthfeel but otherwise on the thin side, metallic with a thin, near watery aftertaste, insufficient body and insufficient hops. Didn’t like this - as most of the former Riva beers.

Bouteille 330ml. (2006)

Clear amber beer, good white head. A lot of floaters! Semi soft and dry palate. Creamy malt with a trace of tangy fruit. Clearly aged without being too old to drink.

Originally rated May 2005. Sampled from their green bottle. Not much head, not much retention, not much lace. Clean looking, with slight fog, and amber-gold colour. Aromas of yeast and plastic, but not too strong. Taste like a pilsner with a metallic finish and a smooth grainy aftertaste. Feels like a swill-triple brew.

Bottle 33cl @ [ Tasting in Ulfborg ].
Clear medium amber orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, sugar, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. (110708)

Courtesy of Fonefan. The color is orange-red and the head is huge and nice. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and candy sugar. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, candy sugar, fruit and a bit of caramel. It’s monotonous and far from what I expect from a triple.
