3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle bb06/2014. Love the bottle design and CAMRA-approved stamp...Pours a lucent copper, with some reassuring dregs. Splendid radiant aroma of quince, caramelised orange, Lady Grey. Very reminiscent in fact of Anchor Liberty Ale - which it coincidentally happens to share the Cascade (no Fuggle?) hop profile with. Taste balanced by fair use of 5% alcohol and orange marmelade and some spicy bread crust. Side notes of liquorice, aniseed, buttered toast. Big fan of these, in all of their sessionable modesty.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This bottle-conditioned beer has a deep colour and a deep, rich taste. The 5% alcohol gives a good mouth-feel with a lingering flavour of Goldings hops. Good bronze colour and gently carbonated without too much head. A really good pint of ESB.

Bottle, 0.50l. Hazy orange brown color with large fluffy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of ripe fruits, grassy hops, biscuit malt and yeast. Taste starts with light sweet toasted malt, follows by fruity acidity and mild spicy mouthfeel, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, slick texture and lively natural carbonation in palate. After a short battle I defeated admiral Nelson :)

St. Austell brewery, sampled this bottled rather than draft. Easy drinking despite being 5% could easily sink a few of these!!
