3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Marko (3611) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 21, 2012
Ogi’s. Poured a bronze body with a small tan head that went away slowly. Sticky malt & cascade nose. Not bad. The taste is tea-like (how appropriate), a solid malt backbone and aroma hops. Dry. Not as nice as Proper Job but still a respectable beer. Claims to be the best beer in the world or something like that... and while unimpressive, it’s better than most others who do that.

Bottled, thanks mowbeer. Rusty amber with a fair bit of fizz; aroma of red berry and vanilla; some blanket bitterness, soda, rum’n’raisin, kind of all goes together well
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Palme (2234) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 4, 2012
0.5l bottle. This is a clear bronze one with some small floaters floating around and a little bubbly quite lacing off-white head. On the aroma this is light sweet and malty, some caramel and tones of dried dark fruits. Not horrible at all, but not extreme either. It has a really nice texture in the mouth; small prickling and almost fizzing bubbles in a soft oily texture. Flavors are also caramel sweet, the burned kind and I also get tones of leafs and sour grass. Yeah, this was actually quite a nice little surprise. Have no problems recommending this to my "skeptic" friends. 27.06.2012

Bottle, from a tiny village in Connemara. Appearance: Ruby red, small white head. Aroma: quite a good blend of malt and cascade hops, sweet with spicy notes. Smells good. Flavour: Malty, sweet and toasty, a decent amount of hops on the palate, a little sticky with a long malty finish. Quite nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 tfredvik (627) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 28, 2012
Quite clear light amber body with a small, frothy, off-white head that very soon reduces to a millimeter thin (but quite long-lived) layer of foam. Very little lacing is left on my glass. A moderate aroma with lots of malty notes but also hops (although I find the cascade hops quite well hidden): sweet fruits and berries plus caramel and light toasted notes. Light to moderate sweet taste with a light bitter finish. Moderate amounts of fruits and berries dominate the flavour, also some caramel and faint toasted notes, and far in the back there are also notes of vanilla. Smooth and pleasant mouthfeel, a good medium body and with quite much carbonation for a CAMRA approved ale(?).
[50 cl bottle, from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo]

Bottle. Pours a dark copper color with an off white head. Aroma is of dark fruits, toasted malt, nutty notes, fruit cake, marmalade, light citrus hop notes and generic fruity aromas. The flavor follows the nose, nice amounts of dark fruits, lots general fruit notes too, some light hop flavors of citrus, toasted malt, nutty notes, fruit cake and marmalade. The body is medium with a silky mouth feel. Overall a pretty tasty ESB.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Finn (3090) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2012
Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Drukket i heimen 13 Aug 12. Mørk aprikosfarget. OK, passe høyt luftig skum som varer en stund. Forsiktig - men god fruktig aroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken er tørket frukt med en tiltakende syrlighet. Veldig engelsk i karakter.
