Cask; Occasional & bottle conditioned.
Originally brewed as a special to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Nelson’s victory at Trafalgar in 1805. However, production of the bottled version and, occasionally, the cask has continued.
This premium bottle-conditioned ale has been uniquely brewed using our own Cornish Gold malt. Locally grown barley is traditionally malted using a special kilning process which develops a deeper intensity of colour and flavour than ordinary barley malt. Blended with both Styrian Golding and Cascade hops, the result is a deep bronze ale with a delicious rich biscuit flavour and a wonderful spicy aroma.

Bottle; deep bronze; minimal head; aroma of stewed fruit; taste is...well, Fullers ESB, basically; perhaps a little more roasted malt and slightly drier; still, anything that tastes like Fullers ESB has to be a good thing.

Bottle. Pours golden-amber with a small off-white head, which dissipates completely. Aromas of spruce and citrus. Initially somewhat flat in taste (note: I did have a bottle that was only 2 weeks before the BB date), but a rich hoppiness emerges after a second and moves into a pleasant, slightly sour finish. Medium carbonation with a somewhat light body and a sourish aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle. Clear dark brown body with low head. Aroma has light caramel, watermelon fruitness, candi. Taste has medium malty sweetness with low earthy bitterness. Low of caramel in the after taste. Body is full, medium carbonation.

500ml bottle bb06/2014. Love the bottle design and CAMRA-approved stamp...Pours a lucent copper, with some reassuring dregs. Splendid radiant aroma of quince, caramelised orange, Lady Grey. Very reminiscent in fact of Anchor Liberty Ale - which it coincidentally happens to share the Cascade (no Fuggle?) hop profile with. Taste balanced by fair use of 5% alcohol and orange marmelade and some spicy bread crust. Side notes of liquorice, aniseed, buttered toast. Big fan of these, in all of their sessionable modesty.

Bottle at Lerbäcks Teather outside of Örebro. Honey on the nose, also malt and flowers. Sweet malty taste with caramel. Nice but not very exciting.
