COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ko•rev (cor-eff) n. traditional Cornish word meaning beer. It’s taken us nearly 160 years to create the perfect lager, and we wanted to make sure it was uniquely Cornish. Crafted at our brewery in St Austell, we’ve used the finest lager malt from barley grown right here in Cornwall. Korev has a wonderful pale colour and a clean, crisp taste, bottled in amber glass to protect the freshness. We think you’ll agree it’s been worth the wait.

Tasted 19/4/2013 draught "The Victoria Inn", Roche, Cornwall. Poured a light amber colour with a 5mm white bubbly head that diminished quickly but laced OK. Low to moderate carbonation shown by a few small bubbles forming trails. Aroma of sour malt that stayed all of the drink. Initally coldness of beer masked the taste but when it warmed the flavour was sweet malt. Light body. Smooth, soft lager that when warmed turned to be a nice drop.

Uninspiring Cornish brewed lager with a sweet aroma. Bland but looks good, although it would look better with a head on it.

On Tap - slightly darker than most lager , usual thin lager head . aroma is not pronounced but some grassy notes . taste is crisp , dry with a hint of malt setting it apart from most of the commercial lagers . Drinkable

Bottle@BrewberryParis. One of the few cold beers at Brewberry. But I don’t mind drinking beers from the shelves. Back to the beer: rather grainy and boring lager. That’s it.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop. Clear mid gold colour with thick white head. Drunk on train on way to Ripple so may not be perfect tasting conditions but I did have a plastic cup with me. some cream on the aroma and touch of pale malt. all good in the mouth. solid base with some noble hops around at the end to give it a kick. clean lovely pale malt with some decent hoppiness. a very lovely lager. one of the best i have had from the british isles. i really enjoyed this even if it wasnt as cold as may be perfect. good beer.

Pours a golden colour and has a malty aroma and the taste is good for a lager it has a small hint of fruit rather this than a stella any day.

Bottle. Flat-headed, bright gold..well, lager looks. Honeyed corn, herbal hop, slight apricot fruit aroma. Flavour has hints of some glue, grassy hop, honey and lemon throat sweets. Wafery, corn-accented linger. Yep, it’s a lager alright...and a fairly successful exercise in pointlessness.

[500ml bottle courtesy of the St Austell Brewery] Pours a brilliantly clear golden colour, lazy rising carbonation and a inch-high head. Looks every inch the perfect lager. Not much aroma, other than a slight grassy hop and grain background. Pretty crisp on the palate, the finish arrives very quickly however. That said, it’s a drinker’s lager - the lager malt comes out on the taste, along with that typical creaminess you sometimes get from the style. Carbonation is quite evident, but it didn’t bother me much. Well-made lager [31082011]

On tap at Hicks Bar, St. Austell. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Hardly any aroma, some faint citrus. Taste moderate sweet malty, light on the hops, watery mouthfeel. Nothing special about this.
