Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. In recognition of a ‘Proper Job’, Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour of becoming a Light Infantry Regiment.
"Light, clear and refreshing with an assertive hop bitterness, Proper Job IPA is based on a traditional IPA recipe which makes it perfect for long, hot summer days."

Bought from Asda. Bit bizarre. But unique. Tasty but different to an ipa. Different to a bitter. Would drink it again but don’t quite get it.

British tasting @ Haket Pub. Golden with a tiny white head. Fruity and hoppy tones. Fruit, malt and bitterness. Medium body with a nice bitter sweet finish.

From the bottle, Golden colour, a good two finger head. Aroma of malts, minimal hop flavour and bitterness. Not really an IPA, more of a golden ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transferring some earlier reviews from my blog to RB.

From pint bottle. Pours a clear golem with just a wispy head and large bubbles. Aromas are quite light but there’s some lemon, grass and a hint of stonefruit in there. Taste is better, with rounded sweet malt punched up with crisp grapefruit bitterness. Clean finish with a gentle apple-like aftertaste. Maybe not a classical English style IPA but a nice refreshing beer nonetheless.
