Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml from Asda, Leamington Spa. Gold with white head. A rarity for a British processed beer, one that has kept its freshness. Sharp, green, hoppy flavours on a biscuity, crisp body. Good bitterness and clarity of flavours. Pretty decent.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 berlinoise2go (488) - NORWAY - FEB 20, 2010
Bottle, 50cl, from Vinmonopolet, Moss. BB Oct 2010. Looks like lager, having a clear coppery yellow colour. Finger-thick white head, slowly settling into a ring. Nose is fairly faint - dry hoppy, some grapefuit, a bit vinous. Thin-to-medium-bodied, somewhat watery. Nice, typical IPA bitterness, which lingers. I’ll try it again in summer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 yngwie (10798) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 26, 2010
Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer with good carbonation and finger-thick, off-white head soon diminished to a thin but staying layer of bubbles. The nose surprised me as a hadn’t read the ingredients list on the bottle. Citrus, peach, some pinecones and grass stars the show, leaving the crackery malts in the background. The flavor isn’t as interesting as the aroma, and it’s a bit too fizzy in the mouth. Still, it’s a fine, quaffable beer with sweetness from the malts as a base, and citrus, pinecones and grass from the hops. Maybe it would be even better with some more bitterness, but on the other hand it works quite well as is. Overall, it’s a bit on the sweet side, hence it’s not as quenching as many IPA’s seems to be. Definately a beer I could, and will, drink more of. 100126
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 larsga (5364) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 24, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2010 Big offwhite head. Coppery body. Tropical fruit and citrusy hop aroma. Dry-sweetish fruity citric taste with resiny strawberry notes. Mid-bodied. Clean, fresh palate. Dry wooden citric aftertaste with metallic floral notes. Faintly astringent. Nice and highly drinkable, but not very exciting. Would have liked more body. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly.)

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sigmund (4280) - Tau, NORWAY - JAN 19, 2010
500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Also available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. Bottle conditioned, ABV is 5.5%. Clear golden colour, big white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity American hops, notes of pineapple and other tropical fruits, also some citrus. The flavour has a substantial sweetness, malty and sugary notes, partly balanced by a noticeable hoppy bitterness, which becomes piney and resinous in the finish, slightly metallic in the aftertaste.
