"Light, clear and refreshing with an assertive hop bitterness, Proper Job IPA is based on a traditional IPA recipe which makes it perfect for long, hot summer days."

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops with pronounced notes of flowers and citrus. Intense, bitter hoppy flavour with grainy and grassy notes. Dry, rather rough aftertaste. Decent. As it should be: after all, I kept it to celebrate my rating #1066; at Hastings one can only do with a proper job!

On tap at Kick in Kristiansand. Hazy nut brown body with a fingerthick creamy tanned head. Nice resiny hops and fruity malts nose. Mellow fruity and lasting bitter flavors with earthy notes. Medium bodied and soft to drink. Suggested as a beermatch to their outstanding house burger with foie gras - a match that worked quite nice.

Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head with nice lacing. Aroma is very powerful, with orange dominant, followed by herbal and floral hop notes. Malt and bitterness are both present up front, malt carrying through a medium body, leading to a very pleasant and balanced hop bitterness, still more of the slight orange character. Very, very nice!

Bottle - 500ml. Boring pale gold body with a thin, fading white foamy head. Misbalanced malty aroma with hoppy and rotten herbs hints. Its bad hoppy taste carries weird leather and flat ginger ale notes. Ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. Very disappointing.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2013 Straw coloured, white, medium lasting head. Bready malt nose with a little citrus. Full flavored for an English ale, big bready malt backed by some nice hop bitterness. Smooth, soft mouthfeel, fairly soft carbonation. Pleasant.

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Small white head. Clear golden body. Spicy aroma of hops and malt with a hint of caramel and vanilla. Sweet taste with a bitter finish. Easily drinkable. Could’ve been richer.
