Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. In recognition of a ‘Proper Job’, Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour of becoming a Light Infantry Regiment.
"Light, clear and refreshing with an assertive hop bitterness, Proper Job IPA is based on a traditional IPA recipe which makes it perfect for long, hot summer days."

Not bad, but om the other hand Nothing special either . Very mediocre. Want it more hoppy, more fruity and more bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle. Some citrus and pine aromas. Pours hazy dark gold, with nice creamy white head, some persistance, poor lacing. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Taste is lemon, grapefruit, herbal, mild bitterness. All well balanced, a "proper job" they made with this one. Quaffable, nice and enjoyable.

Not very hoppy nose. Pretty sweet taste at first, a moderate but lingering bitterness in aftertaste.

Bottled 500ml. -I’ve got no idea where I found this one. I think maybe in Bieres Cultes (des Halles) but why German paper sticker declaration on the bottle???!!! Shared with Marko and luttonm. Hazy yellow/orange coloured, creamy white head, pleasant grapefruity citrusy nose. Moderate malty, citrusy and caramel taste with pleasant hoppy notes. Nice bitter finish. Much closer to American than British IPA. Really great surprise.

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, loose and slowly collapsing off-white head with a little lace, moderate spicy grapefruity and resiny nose, bisquity pale malt underneath; almost solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering silky bitter-grapefruity finish, balanced by pale malt. Good job...

Bottle with Ogi and Marko, thanks Ogi! One of the better ones we tried on the Zagreb tasting. Huge foamy head on hazy golden ale body. Dry herb, citrus fruit, nice rich, interesting hops. Dried flowers, slight sour funk hops, dry balanced but with citrusy Cascade hops. Really nice ’western’ style IPA from England.

Ogi got this in France I think. Anyway, poured a misty golden body with a small white head. Elderflower and citrus notes in the aroma, light cheese too. Nice dry bitterish peachy taste, lightly herbal (and something) finish, a bit creamy graininess... nice. Lingering bitterness in the finish, fresh, no off notes, a proper job indeed, we all loved it!
