Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. In recognition of a ‘Proper Job’, Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour of becoming a Light Infantry Regiment.
"Light, clear and refreshing with an assertive hop bitterness, Proper Job IPA is based on a traditional IPA recipe which makes it perfect for long, hot summer days."

Bottle. Taste is round and caramel-like and surprisingly good. Problem is that the head is disappearing fast and the beer is actually quite boring with no attractive odour, it ends up as a mediorce beer.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark amber colour, not much head. Tropical fruit & resin aroma. Dry biscuit, citrus & resin flavour, bitter aftertaste. A decent beer but not a top American Pale Ale.

Pours light clear golden with almost no foam at all, looks like a cider. Fresh fruity aroma with grass notes, sublime. Refreshing taste with medium bitterness and dry mouth feel in the palate, a bit citric. Medium body, thin feel, average carbonation and a short light bitter and far sour after taste. Ok, good. Does the job.

Bottle. Golden with a white head. Soft aroma and taste, citrus and malt. Drinkable but rather boring to be honest.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2014 Bottle from Waitrose. Clear golden body with a small white head that quickly fades. Light carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of biscuit, earthy hops and grapefruit. Flavour of grassy hops, muted citrus and biscuity malt. Dry finish. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. It’s disappointingly dull considering it’s "powerfully hopped" with Williamette, Chinook and Cascade.

"Blond" doft - diskmedel. Mycket kolsyra, jordig humle, ingen stor höjdare men en helt ordinär BIPA

Bottle. Bright medium gold, slightly hazy, lasting white cap. Aroma is nectarines, orange rind. Crackery malts, light fruit, kumquat citrus bitterness. Really dry, low sweetness. Decent enough, but bitter without body or sweetness.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2012 Bottle. Yellow colour with a small fainting white head. Light fruity nose. Unfortunately a very weak hoppy flavour. This beer is ok on a really hot day, otherwise......not
