COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional;
Proper Job is an authentic IPA brewed with Cornish spring water and malt made from a blend of malts including Cornish grown Maris Otter barley. Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. Throughout the siege the traditional "Sunset Ceremony" (beating the retreat and lowering the national flag) was ignored as an act of defiance to the mutineers. In recognition of a "Proper Job" Queen Victoria awarded the 32nd the honour

Dark golden colored, slightly hazy appearance. Medium sized white head. Crispily hopped aroma with lemon also present. I like these hops here. Thin to medium bodied, slightly watery palate. Flavor is also nice with this crispy hops and lemon, some yeast in drying aftertaste with bitterness.

Cask conditioned at The Bell, Banbury. Pale gold with white head. Had this after watching banbury United beat local rivals Brackley Town 1 - 0, and a real proper job it was too. Clean citric grassy hops, dry and bitter, light pale malts, enjoyable, particularly whilst celebrating.
