On tap. One of my preferred beers in SW England. Lovely floral hops up front and not too much behind, but nothing to object to either. Easy drinking.

From squealer. Pours clear amber gold with small white head. Citrus and malty aroma, a little subdued though. Taste is between an IPA and golden ale, again subdued but very drinkable with mild grapefruit and sweet malt base. Some light grassy notes too. Tasty and sessionable ale.

The only cornish beer Iíve come across that I like they are usually flavorless and bland but this is nice and hoppy with a good balance. Itís a perfect session beer.

Cask at the Cherub, Dartmouth. Good US hoppiness up front- bitter lemon and grapefruit- but then not a lot happens afterwards. Needs a bit more malt in there to give it a bit more body and oomph. Not overly convinced by this one. Itís OK I suppose.

Cask. Amber with a white head. Some quite nice caramel notes underlying a citrus finish. Quite sweet really. Nice and drinkable, but lacking in character.

Cask in the Hole in the Wall, Bodmin. Golden with some white froth. Quite light and refreshing. Reasonably hoppy with some pineapple and grapefruit notes. Pretty decent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is honey fruit citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with an earthy, sweet fruit hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a light smooth fruit bitter finish. Compared to the bottled version there is less hops and a whole lot more fruit. Very drinkable.

From cask at Castle Tavern, Inverness. Clear golden, uneven off-white head. Aroma and taste of citrus zest and lime marmelade. Bitter grape fruit and lemon in aftertaste. Good drinkability. A drinkable bastard between an English Pale Ale, a very moderate American IPA and a Golden Ale.

Not sure Iíd class this as an American Pale Ale. For me itís a very hoppy English ale. Anyway, thatís just semantics. Itís good. Iím assuming there are some American hops in there as itís notably citrusy. Smooth (from cask) and goes down very easily.
