I wasn’t convinced about this beer. I felt it was too hoppy for what I wanted at that time at least. It’s more in the vein of American IPAs, without the carbonation. I prefer the more gentle British ales. Nice to try nonetheless.

@ The George Inn, Croscombe. Clear bright amber with nice lace. Flowery and fruity aromas reminiscent of an APA. Balanced with sweet malt character. Very good.

This is by far the best interpretation of the classic English IPA I’ve had. The aroma is floral with hints of earthy notes and just pleasant happy. Flavor adds the aroma with a nice medium

2010-07-27. Crisp dark yellow, small creamy white head and great lace. 3+ Flavour is mild with pleasant bitterness throughout, modest lemon accents, muted pale malts. 6+ Mild aroma has slight lemon character, lemon seed, straw and slightly odd pale malts. Smooth creamy average palate. Refreshing but pretty mild overall. Cask at Eagle and Child, Oxford

On draught in the Widemouth Manor Hotel, 4/7/10. Hoppy nose and dry hoppy palate. Amber coloured and served slightly chilled. Slight hint of grapefruit in the taste.

Cask. Light amber with frothy white head. Flavour is malt, watery and hops.

Cask (Waterloo Arms, Southampton) - Gold/light amber in colour. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit featuring prominently. The taste is hoppy and refreshing with notes of tangy grapefruit, pine and some toffee.

(Cask at Cove, Covent Garden, London, 23 May 2010) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of apricots, citrus and grassy hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with apricots, citrus, biscuits, hints of tea and grassy hops in the finish. Medium body, slightly sweetish. Nice, tasty and refreshing.
