Aroma, some apricot and a hint of bubblegum. Appearance yellow heading toward brown and very cloudy with yeast added. Flavour apparent bubblegum with some fruit and a little hop character. Finish was bubbly feeling though it may have been on the acid side adding to the tingly sensation.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2006 (Bottled) Hazy golden color with lots of floating yeast and a medium, quite tight and foamy head. Yeasty, acidic, mildly fruity and metallic, neutral and slightly dull-cardboardy aroma. Quite smooth, neutral flavor with honey and some sourness. Alcohol is well hidden. Bloody-metallic, sourish finish with low bitterness. Smooth-carbonated, soapy and foamy, medium-bodied palate. A decent, neutral, easily drinkable, but metallic and characterless blonde, that could use some fruitiness and spicing. One gets used to the metal quickly, though.

Gold color. Spicy Tripel aroma. Very dry; thin body, too bitter, almost metallic, with a final of old hops. Drinkable Belgian Ale, but nothing special.

Best until 07/02. Vanilla and citrus aroma with pear. Hoppy vanilla flavor, some tartness, some caramel. Vinous. Likeable beer, not outstanding in any aspect but overall nice to drink.

Medium white head, golden colour. Sweet, with notes of fruit (orange?) and spice. Dry finish. Nice palate.

Not too impressed with this ale. Quite malty, and at times bitter, especially at the end.

Slightly cloudy blond beer with a small head. Vinous aroma and taste due to a best before date of Oct-1996. Besdides the vintage character this beer had little to offer. A rather neutral taste. (The Kulminator, Antwerpen)

Like the bottle: Duvel style. Not too bad, but pretty featureless, sort of mouldy taste on top of standard leffe blond flavour I guess. Nudge mixed his with Jack Daniels.

Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 10, 2003
The beer pours a shimmering gold color on the pour, the head is majestic in size, spumescent in texture and the color a brilliant white, as it disintegrates, the resultant lace a fine sheet to cover the glass. Sweetly malt is what I get from the nose; fresh and clean like a spring morning after a gentle rain. Sweet start, the top slender in its feel to the palate, the carbonation on the finish is prickly in its bite, the hops delightful in their spicy presence, the aftertaste droughty and lingering, a decent beer, not great but quite drinkable nonetheless.

This has a nice foamy head and a coudy body. Aromas are of fresh grain. Initial impressions are of a hoppy beer - a good thing. This is a refreshing beer although the finish is a little short. Like a training version of Duvel and thats not a critisism.
