3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 McWorta (231) - LUXEMBOURG - APR 7, 2013
Dark rubin brown/black in colour. Nearly no head as served too cold (grumble...) but should be a toasty coloured head.
Noses of sugar can, malts and some fruits like figs(?) aromas. Bit fizzy and lots of sweet malt on the palate. Bit sticky oily texture and full bodied. Good for after a short quick lunch to fill the gap.

Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is caramel, molasses and some spices. Flavour is caramel and spices mostly, quite creamy. Nice.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 worldbeertaste (1121) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2013
Mahogany brown with a nice red tint and a creamy, lacy off-white, head. Smells a bit stale, with caramel, malt, yeast, and honey. Medium, frothy oily body. Tastes of booze with nut, malt, light roast, molasses and some spices. Not bad. Too much booze.m

Bottle. Pours a brown color with a big brown head. Aroma is nothing special, yeasty and light fruity. Flavor is again really Belgianny, light sweet with a light malty taste and molasses. Decent.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Noctilucus (97) - All over Belgium, BELGIUM - JAN 15, 2013
Dark brown with a reddish tint and thick beige foam.
Massive aromas are immediately freed; quite a sour nose with malt, some hops and a spice along the lines of coriander.
A full, strong taste with just the right amount of carbonation; in contrast with the nose it’s in the first place malty, only a little sour (from the roasted malts?). Once the carbonation and sourness are gone, the aftertaste is a bit weaker. With the beer coming closer to room temperature, there’s less sourness and more, lightly roasted malts, some caramel. For once, a little more caramel would have been nice.
Actually a solid, good beer and surprisingly strong tasting for only 6.5% ABV
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Countbeer (2852) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle: Thanks Robert:
Pretty big and lively, tan to light brown creamy colored head which changes with regular speed into an airy thick and medium sized head and goes through and changes into a thick unequal spread/shared creamy lacing on top of an almost clear deep dark ruby to brown ish colored beer.
Smell toasted malts, toasted herbs, hint of glue, creamy hints of vanilla, grains, hay, some hops and gass and some sweeter dark fruit and caramel notes.
Taste is creamy but also a bit unbalanced.
The first things that hits the tongue is some kind of dusty spice, something like cinnamon with pepper ish notes (while it’s not being pepper spicy), some malts and malty sweetness like caramel and a hint of toffee (those go hand in hand), a light dryness with some growing grainy bitter tones, some darker dried fruits and some roast (divided in grains, malts and even some hops). Quite decent.
Aftertaste is a nice dry bitter note that reminds me of walnut, there is some roast, plant notes/grass notes, herbal hop notes and some creamy malts. A bit thin but you can taste it’s there.
Low carbo, spicy but soft mouthfeel, medium but slightly thin body and a texture between watery ad creamy leaning more towards creamy.
Pretty ok beer, nothing really bad and luckily no bad bitters!

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2013 Medium brown colour. Aroma is quite fruity and sweet. Taste is quite rich and fruity with a rounded malty feel. Dark sweet fruits.
