Surpriced! This one was better than expected. Perhaps because it was near exp. date. Coriander-aroma. Flavor is bread, malt and a little hint of laqurice.

Dark reddish brown color, tanned head. Malty, sweetish and yeasty, slightly spicy aroma. Sweetish-malty, slightly port-wineous and roasted flavor with a hint of metal. Medium-bodied, oily and palate with balanced carbonation. A very nice beer, but not among the best dubbels.

Aroma of fruits (grapes), bread and malts. Brown coloured appearance. Lasting head. Okay. Taste is not as good. Malty, bit metallic, weak some fruits. Sticky.

Clear brown color, thick brown frothy head. Aroma of roasted malts, some chocolat and raisin. Malty taste with a metallic hint, bit coffee like. Sticky palate.

Dark amber body and a nice beige head. Nutty and malty nose. Nothing special but a fairly good dubbel!

Brown color. Pineapple aroma. Powerful, growing in the mouth. Nice sparkling start of dry cocoa and malt (cognac-feeling comes in mind). Nice balance between the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the cocoa. Fruity notes of apple. Finish of caramel, brown sugar and burned malt.

Dark amber color, thick creamy head. Light caramel aroma. Harsh mouthfeel, dry; poor structure, with a rising final of burnt sugar, bitter caramel and a strong bitterness; lightly metallic. Just a bit less unbalanced than the Blonde.

Brown coloured. Peppery aroma. The flavour is rather thin and yeasty. A very boring Belgian ale.
