MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - JAN 20, 2009
Bottle (330ml). Poured dark hazy copper (closer to resembling black) with a thick, foamy, off-white head which lasted superbly. Aroma was of date loaf with sweet ripe plums, blueberries, dried apricots, cinnamon, all spice and some pepper. Flavor was of sweet whole grain bread with virtually no bitterness, dates, blueberries, cinnamon, some odd mild metallic notes and a light dusty/leafy finish. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation, a somewhat thin/watery texture and an average finish. Seemed a little overall thin for my liking.

Dark hazy brown body with a nice.lookin* creamy beige head. Complex aroma of coffe and nuts, dark chocolate&toffe, fine spicy-fruity perfume of raisins and wild fruits, clove. Taste of coffee, fine fruits and spices, dark-chocolate and cocoa-beans, caramel. Medium body, light aftertaste. Not a big character but very tasty, fine one.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Pours with a light brown head and a murky dark brown body. Aroma of clove, a bit of leather, flowery with dark fruits. Taste is leathery and chocolatey with spices. A bit on the fizzy side.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a brown color with orange highlights. Small tope head. Nose: cherries, caramel, lit bit of roasted malt and spice. Taste is metal, toffee, and has some back end acid. I liked the nose better.
