Murky plum brown colour with some medium brown fish flake sediment. Large medium size, lasting tan head leaving sporadic lacing on glass. Awesome dried and fresh fruit smorgasbord, spices, liquorice, coffee, celery and sappy hop aromas. A relatively light, almost iced black coffee style body. Yeasty malty plum pudding and bitter chocolate festive flavours, but not overly sweet at all. Maybe a bit light on at the finish and in the aftertaste departments to make this a really top beer. Still real nice though. Recommended.

Dark brown colour with a large tan coloured head. Aroma is sweet with light caramel and plummy fruit. Very nice and complex taste; dark fruits, coffee, liquorice (slight) and chocolate. Short light bitter finish. Medium bodied with a nice slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Very good.

Dark beer with a beige head. Nice sweet aroma with a touch of caramels and fruit. The taste goes along with the aroma, a little sweet, but not too sweet.

Surpriced! This one was better than expected. Perhaps because it was near exp. date. Coriander-aroma. Flavor is bread, malt and a little hint of laqurice.

Brown color. Pineapple aroma. Powerful, growing in the mouth. Nice sparkling start of dry cocoa and malt (cognac-feeling comes in mind). Nice balance between the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the cocoa. Fruity notes of apple. Finish of caramel, brown sugar and burned malt.

An attractive dark beer with a good head of foam and lively sparkle. Flavours comprise of bitter plain chocolate and coffee. Less sweet than some brunes this is the kind of beer for me.

Dark brown colour and big off-white head. Very nice aroma (toasted malts, hops, spices, orange, toffee). Wonderful and complex spicy flavour with a medium bitter, slightly sour, and dry finish. A bit more fruit flavour would surely make this a top beer. Why has this only received 6 ratings so far? Must be underestimated!

Very dark and with a stable head. Pretty standard brune - a bit more fruit flawors would have made it great.
