4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This rates up there with some of the best beers I’ve ever tried. Pours a light brown, with a strong head, and decent lacing. It has a bit more hop then the standard St. Bernardus Abt 12... which makes me love it even more.

I’ve been sitting on this one forever, today’s the day. Spicy yeasty notes on nose. Dark brown color and good lace, this is clearly a big boy beer. Cane sugar on the palate, with the small amount of booze too

Drank at thirdeye11’s birthday party. Thanks to jjfoodie for sharing.
The beer pours a brown color with a small head. The aroma is fairly sweet with a good dose of brown sugar, raisins and caramel malt. The flavor is more of the same. The caramel malt and candy sugar sweetness are very nice. I also get a little bit of dark fruit - mainly raisins with a bit of cherry - as well as well as just a little bit of alcohol. Very nice and very glad I got to try it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared in Chicago, poured a dark brown color, aromas of yeast, dark pitted fruit, dates, rasins, and some light leather. Flavors are the same, medium carbonation, the flavors were nice, and balanced. Didn’t taste like the abv suggested it would be, a real nice beer overall.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I popped a bottle of this and shared it with Matt and his wife tonight.
A: Hazelnut brown with a gigantic tan head that leaves plentiful lacing.
S: Incredibly wonderful scents of Belgian yeast, dark fruits.
T: Again - wonderful. This is a world class quadrupel. A notch above the standard Abt 12. The yeast character/flavor is just outstanding.
M: Coats the palate and leaves a long lingering yeast aftertaste.
D: Second only to Westvleteren 12 as the best Belgian quad I have ever tasted.

Pours a nice deep amber with a medium tan head...lt sediment. Aroma smells like grape bubbalicious! Flavor has mild grape bubblegum, nice raisin and fig...some faint caramel with a touch of leather...lots going on. Mouthfeel is medium and silky smooth with a dry leather/raisin finish. Very tasty.

Cloudy dark brown beer. Frothy off white head. Soft frothy head. Light cocoa and raspberry and other red fruits. Light softish palate. Beer has the same flavours as the head adding some cherry. Light and frothy - hides the alcohol very well.

2nd last bottle, best before 10/10/11. Ruby mahogany with a creamy biege head. Don’t find this very oxidized at all - mostly like an intense aged St Bernardus. Muted Belgian yeast with some candied sugar, malts, some plum and raisin, toffee, bit of tortuga rum cake, some vanilla and mmmmmm. Moderate but pleasant carbonation, full body, slightly sweet with a nice Belgian yeast with vanilla and toffee. Becomes quite dry, long finish, delicious.
