33cl bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a dark brown, almost black colour with a medium big beige head that settles down fast in the glass. The aroma is fruity and smells of raisins, roasted malts and sweet caramel. The flavour is bitter-sweet and tastes of fruits, raisins, banana, malts and alcohol. It has a long aftertaste.

Fruity/plum like aroma that is fairly weak. This is fairly acidic with some malts and is almost wine like in its palate. Not much bitterness, just sugary sweet like a good wine. This is in a class by itself as most beers don’t have such a strong fruit presence. This one grows on you though, and is of very high quality. The only negatives about this beer is the somewhat weak aroma and the overbearing fruitiness.

Belgium comes through again! Without question I enjoy the deep brown color and off white head but the aroma , and taste of roasty malt, caramel, and deep fruit tones are marvelous. I like the alcoholic tone because it is in balance with the smooth sweet tones in this quad.

[1562-20080802] 330mL bottle. Fresh raisin malt and boozy fruit aroma. Murky, dark brown red body with a long-lasting foamy light tan head and lots of dark floaties. Hard fruity booze flavour has a bit of raisin malt. Medium-full body. Fresh.

This beer had a very sweet aroma, poured dark brown. It had a very large white head. I liked the taste at first, but the after taste was far to bitter for my taste.

nice aroma, dark brown with some black debris in it, flavor is suiper balanced sweet built by lots of components.

Dark Golden Brown pour, Yeasty, spicy, malty aromas. Mouthfeel is like but hearty with a complex mix of spice and yeast with some subtle fig and and maybe raisin or grape. Warming alcohol finish is touched with banana. Excellent

Driied fruit, sweetly malty, raisins... A very good belgian once again but doesn’t quite end up in the top tier.
