Commercial Description:
The absolute top quality in the hierarchy of the St. Bernardus beers. It is also the beer with the highest alcohol content (10.50 %). A dark ivory coloured beer with a high fermentation. The show piece of the brewery. Thanks to its soft and unconditionally genuine aroma, the beer can be smoothly tasted. The Abt has a very fruity flavour.

Pour was dark brown with a fizzy light tan head. Aroma of malt, dark fruit, sweetness, and a lot of yeast. Flavor was thick and real sweet with a strong floral character. Alcohol was hidden pretty well. Smooth brew. Would probably buy again and let age for a while.

I normally dont go for belguim style beers but maybe I’ve been trying the wrong ones because this one was great. Dark fruit and malty goodness, with an almost wine-like character. solid mouthfeel with a hint of warming alcohol. great beer.

My first quad. And I picked a good one. I really didn’t know what to expect from this style. But I was instantly delighted by it. Poured a dark brown, with a light tan head. Sweet with ah int of dark fruit, and malty. Not hoppy at all.

~Pours a dark reddish brown with nice sized brownish head. Some chunks floating in the beer. ~Aroma of fruits, mainly banana and fresh apples. Some yeast spiciness. Smells fresh. ~Sweet flavor. Fruits definitely present, some raisin and plums. Sugary caramel and alcohol. Somewhat salty. ~A nice feel on the tongue. Quick and crisp. Finish has a sweet bitterness to it. ~This is a good beer. Probably wont buy again. It’s a little sweet for me to really enjoy. I’m glad I got the opportunity to try this famous beer though.

nice looking overall but the head was not very good when you consider the body and carbonation of the beer. Nose and flavor match, conserves of blueberry and straberry rubarb pie. The beer did have a touch of refreshing bittering. Nice ballance leaving just a touch of the %10.5 in the back. World class with deep roots.
