4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured a 750ml bottle into a Duvel Tulip. Best by date of 3/13/17. Let the bottle sit for 50 minutes out of the fridge before decanting.
A: Dark, opaque brown with off-white head. Sporadic, sticky lacing down the glass.
S: Raisins, figs, breadiness, caramel.
T: Dark fruits, a spiciness (clove?), hop bitterness is there for balance. Sweetness reminds me of brown sugar. Peppery alcohol there as well. Dry finish. Alcohol warms gradually.
M: Thick and perfect.
O: Had passed on this one and Rochefort 10 because "they are always there". Great quad and would rate it a close second to Rochefort.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On draft at Chelsea's Kitchen. Copper red with white head that dissipates quickly, but leaves nice lacing. Smells of cereal, yeast and a little caramel. Nice, bold brew that finishes dry. Wouldn't have guessed 10% abv. Highly endorse.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy brown/orange color, average sized tan head. Full body, soft to average carbonation. Aroma is very fruity (dark fruits, maybe cherries), also caramel malts, raisins. It’s sweet but far from too sweet. Just the right amount of sweetness actually. Excellent beer.

Dark pour with a huge head, aroma is malty, banana, candied fruits, sweetness. Taste is liquorice, roast malt, apricots and some sweetness, with alcohol notes towards the end and a smooth finish. Very nice

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep brown with beige head. Bitter-sweet promising aroma. Complex taste, raisins, dried apricots, cinnamon, banana. The high abv quite well disguised.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle poured into a 16 oz snifter. A dark hazy copper with a minimal head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of malt and fruit punch. Sweet malt flavor with a smooth alcohol finish of a typical Trippel. Quite pleasant!

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Hazy deep brown color, large and lasting head. Very fruity aroma, dark and dried fruits, toffee, roasted sugars and malts. Balanced taste between sweetness and little bit of sourness and bitterness. Great and impressive Abt Quadrupel style beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2 oz bottle from Hazel’s. Appearance: finger of khaki head that does not last long, but lingers as a nice film, deep amber/copper red, lightly cloudy, good to great lacing. Aroma: caramel, cereal, light grass and pine, earthy leaves. Palate: medium body, lively carbonation, slightly dry finish, alcohol texture. Taste: heavy and deep sweetness, very commanding but not overpowering. Overall, very solid beer, maybe drank a little too cold (low 50s?) so I missed some aromas, but still very lovely quad.
