jhumphries69 (656), Tyrone, Georgia, USA Aug 18, 2006 Updated: Dec 9, 2006 Pours very dark and very cloudy with a pale head. Aroma is quite nice and quite complex - interesting fruit (citrus, peach, banana), yeast, some spice (coriander), and some alcohol - in fact, the alcohol aroma grows substantially stronger as the beer warms. Flavor is very complex - it starts off sweet and tingly on the tongue (from alcohol and carbonation) with lots of caramel and toffee. Some bitterness, some yeast, and lots of fruitiness arrive at mid-taste. The finish is sweet with lots of alcohol, but also has some mild roasted flavors (toasted bread) and some hints of dark fruit. My original rating of it (had it at a restaurant this past August) was not as agreeable - though I still thought it was very nice (I scored it a 3.9). My taste of it tonight (12/09/2006) is immensely delicious!

Great, taste, aroma, and color, what else can I say? VonkBrewer (12), Belgium Jun 30, 2009 Very good beer, little bit strong taste. Alcoholpercent is a little bit to high but the taste is real good. BrewDad (2142), Olympia, Washington, USA Jun 29, 2009 Liquid Sunshine VII Tasting – Kirkland, WA

handsomjan (4), Taipei, Taiwan does not count Jun 28, 2009 330ml bottle. Taiwan. The beer has an orange color with brown hues. The aroma is full of spicy, like herbal or clove. The honey or some kind of sweetness palate lives long time in my mouth. The toasted or burnt-sugar malty flavor is just compatible with shallow bitterness in the finish. Listigovers (40), Ontario, Canada Jun 27, 2009 An opaque brown beer. Extremely smooth and an aftertaste so complex it would take many bottles to decipher. However, after only one bottle it was quite clear, I was dealing with a world-class beer. kazooka (37), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Jun 25, 2009 750 ml bottle into a wide, shallow, crystal champagne glass. Aromas of booze, yeast, malt, with a tinge of fruit-citrus. Poured cloudy from suspended yeast into the glass a dark reddish-brown with off-white head fading to dots of foam on the surface then into a thick ring; easily roused back to life. Heavy sweetness, medium sour, and lightly bitter flavor. Thick feel, thin bodied, softly carbonated with a malty sweet, med-long, dry-booze finish. Tastes of sweet, nutty, roasted malts, fruit, and spicy cloves. I really like this beer. Left me wanting more! jodah52 (16), Michigan, USA Jun 24, 2009 Dark brown with an off-white head. Deep, well balanced flavor, but nothing special. The aroma is what makes this beer; it is full, complex, and ever-changing with temperature and time since poured.
