Great label...pours dark copper color with big off white head, great head retention, aroma is mostly yeast and alcohol, medium mouthful with flavors of dark fruits, oak, chocolate mousse, good aftertaste that isn’t overpowering...a masterful balance and really satisfying drink

Deep amber beer with medium lasting white head. Spices, malt and bread lead to smooth finish. Rather thin-bodied. Beaten easily by Rocheforte Trappiste 10. Disappointing.

A great Belgian beer all around. This is a close substitution for the famed Westvleteren 12, and is a lot easier to find. My taste came from the tap at the Toronado in San Diego. The color is a mud brown with lots of suspended yeast. The flavor is fruity and sweet. Not a lot of bitterness to it. Overall, this is a very enjoyable beer to drink and share with some friends. Pours a deep brown with a lingering tan head. Smells of raisins, figs, and caramel. As the temperature rises every sip changes. The closest things to a Westy 12.

Glory in a glass. Deep brown dark colour with a speckled tan head. Smell of rum, licorice, coffee, toffee, chocolate mousse. Sipping this is like sucking on angel’s wings...a bounty of desireable tastes just dancing on the tongue; flavours abounding on the palate like some sort of wildflower blooming and bursting. Extremely well balanced and the 10.5% alcohol is felt with a slight burn (aaahhhh) but is very well concealed amongst the rum, oak, malted barley, maple, figs, candied apple, raisins, vanilla, the list goes on and on. I like the jolly parson label as well. Buy or die!
