750 ml corked and caged. Pours a dark orange red with a large, long lasting carbonated head. Aroma of brown sugar and caramel noted. Yeast taste noted with some spiciness as well. Alcohol was there but just a slight hint of it. Well balanced and smooth going down. Another great brew from the Grinning Monk.

A solid beer. Huge christmas spices with brown sugar, caramel, and yeast. Ripe fruits, christmas spices, and belgian yeast in the body. Dark amber color with decent head.

Rust-colored pour with enormous and defiant 3-inch eggshell head. Aroma of brown sugar, toffee, and cherry blossom. Cinnamon and nutmeg come through in the flavor along with fresh baked bread and ripened Bing cherries. Well hidden alcohol...delicious!!!

Pours a rich ruby brown with 3 fingers of off white head. Aroma of spices, caramel, yeast and fruit. Flavors of fruit, spices, yeast and malt. On a lot of these christmas beers the spices are overdone, but this one is very well put together. Quite delicious stuff, one of the better seasonal belgians i’ve had. Yum!

Cork had a nice pop...color is ruby brown...big head of amber bubbles. Caramel and spice aroma. Big flavor with that distinctively smooth St. Bernardus yeast effect, yet it also has flavors of rich dark malts, funky tart tropical fruit, bitter fruit rind, burnt toffee, black pepper, alcohol, slight cinnamon...yet all in all is quite tasty.

Another solid beer from St. Bernardus. Poured a dark redish color with massive hear and perfect lacing. Aroma was fruits flowers and cherry. Flavor was much the same with lots of spices in there, not over done though, yeast as well. Great beer.

Hazy dark amber copper body with a medium creamy tan head. Sweet fruity, spicy, candi sugar aroma. Sweet sugary flavor, caramel, candi sugar, light fruit and spice flavor. Full body with medium carbonation and a smooth alcoholic finish.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, mabel, jerc & mds - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Slightly hazy orange-amber with a small off-white head. Mice malt and spice aroma, with some cherry, dark sugar and yeast - yummy! Soft mouthfeel. Flavour of sour fruit, sweet malt, spices (clove, cinnamon), and faint yeast in the moderately bittter finish. Hides that 10% very well. Nice!
