Dark brown with a dense khaki head. Aromas of bubblegum, sweet cherries, dark bread. Flavor profile carries lots of fruity yeast and bubblegum, some dark toffee, hint of anise, some alcohol sweetness. Full bodied and a clean finish with high carbonation. The best Belgian Christmas/Noel ale. Period.

0.33 l bottle from belgiuminabox, bottled in August 2014. Clear, very dark red with a huge, foamy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Fruity-malty aroma of raisins, prunes, brown sugar, caramel and some port. Sweetish, fruity-malty, a little spicy taste of ripe banana, raisins, caramel, clove and port, followed by a slightly sourish, yeasty, lightly bitter finish. Medium to full body, highly effervescent mouthfeel, very lively carbonation. Unfortunately overcarbonated, the aroma is pleasant but a bit subdued, but the taste really makes up for it. Rather complex, not as sweet as expected, a little sourish as well, great!

Full body and light to medium carbonation. Lots of dark fruits, malt, caramel, sugar and yeast. Sweet finish.

Dark cola brown that bubbles consistently leaving some fruity head that never disappears. Banana, cherry, rum, licorice, dried fruits. Vanilla and almond aftertaste. Nice and enjoyable especially on a cold night.

Bottle from Tanakaya. First Christmas beer of the season. Pours a brown with a 2 finger soapy head that dissipates fairly quickly. Caramel, candy sugar, chocolate toasted bananas and fennel on the nose. Medium body with average to slightly soft carbonation. Silky and sweet on the palate. Super complex; each sip reveals something new. Hides the alcohol masterfully...really drinks like a 6.5% beer. Finish is sweet and slightly syrupy with bananas. A little too sweet for me, but solid.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2015 Red with "fizzy" sounding tan head. Raspberry, cherry, caramel and Belgian yeast. Sweet, sticky, cloying, earth, dry and spicy finish. Overall: average and over-carbonated.

Draft at uber. I was inspired by Crow to finally start plugging the gaps in my "classic Belgian" beer list. Clear ruby-tinged mahogany pour. Small head, some lacing. Aroma is quite fruity, in that Belgian cherry redvine kind of way. Caramel, some spice (clove mainly). Tastes rather sweet, almost syrupy but dries out enough in the end to remain drinkable. Full body, velvety syrupy texture. Overall: missing that extra something to draw me in for a repeat.
