Aroma of iron, golden raisins, and spice. Pours red brown with a big pink head. Taste is delightfully Belgian. Dates, molasses and slight iron.

Draft. Dark reddish brown with little head. Lots of spice in the aroma but the taste is dominated by syrupy cherry fruitiness. Medium sticky mouthfeel. Ok.

Really nice. Full, round mouthfeel and great dark caramel color. Maybe my favorite Christmas beer.

33 cl bottle at home, BBE date July 2018. Pours a deep red-brown colour, thin head which soon disappears. Aroma of fruit, sweet malt and just a hint of the usual spices. Taste is of juicy sweet malt and fruit soaked in booze. Again, there is spicing in there, but it is subtle and not overpowering. On the palate the beer is quite effervescent to start, making a lively drink, but it soon settles. Nice dry finish. Overall, not bad. I think this would mature quite nicely, so the others go back into storage for a year or two.

Guys befote rating this one waaaait few minutes and give this beer the needed time to become much better after 10 or more minutes after pouring. Fruits and spices in the nose. Dark hazy colour with white head. Taste: seconds after pouring is very spice of sweet bakery. Than become more fruity...malty...better and better. Full body, small carbonation, hidden alcohol...pure x-mass happiness

75cl bottle from Systembolaget. Pours dirty brown with some festive red tints in a rather dull looking beer with practically no head. Roasted notes and chocolate in the nose, but discretely. The taste is sweet and yeasty, with some very powerful notes of licorice that provides a bitter backdrop. The bitterness linger in the aftertaste. The effervescence is very high, almost overly so. Its not a bad beer by yards, this, but not the best beer from the folks at Watou either.

330ml bottle. Trembling Madness Drinks Shop, York. Hazy amber. Thin, bubbly, tan head. Nutty, spicy, dark fruit. Sweet, cakey malts. Dried stone fruits. Figs. Dates. Mixed spice. Very festive. Taste is fruity dry. Lots of chewy sweetness. Just a hint of bitter at the end. Feels way under the ABV. Too much carbonation at first, but settles down after half an hour, at which point it matches the beer better. Finishes chewy sweet. Fruity dry. Very nice.
