4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
St. Bernardus Christmas Ale is a big beer at 10% and not a bad representation of the style. The pour produces a big almost too risky head. The aroma is very pleasant fruity. Sour flavors dominate but the flavor is well-balanced overall. Christmas Ale is a tasty beer for the cooler months.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Dark color, tan head, huge carbonation. Smell is fruity, yeasty, spicy; similar to the 12 with a little more cinnamon in it. Taste is very similar to the 12, so it can’t be that bad, right? Good beer, of course. I dont think they make a bad one. 1000 people before me talk about how good it is, so something can be said for that.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
For a Xmas ale it's good. Nice brew on a cold day. Doesn't have that warming feeling in the gut so it's pretty light.
