75 cl. bottle, shared. Hazy, brown colour with a reddish tint. Dense, creamy tanned head. Sweet aroma with dark, dried fruits, yeasts, nuts, rich caramel malts, "Christmas spices", candid sugar and hints of vineous alcohol. Taste is sweet. Full body with an oily texture. Carbonation starts lively, but fades quickly to a soft dotting. Long lasting sweet finish with caramel malts and dark, dried fruits. Some port-like notes. A very rich and filling beer that almost overpowers the othervise hearthy Christmas dishes. A solid choice for the season.

Draught at the beer & beyond party, agnes pub hod hasharon. Murky brown with creamy head. Christmas cake aroma: dough and cinnamon and nutmeg. Tastes a little tarty, some sour grapes. Full body, carbonated, a little tarty finish. I remember it sweeter and richer.

On 75 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Dark brown color, good offwhite foam- good carbonation. High aroma intensity; malt, dried fruits, very nice yeast influence and still some fruitness. Full body & high complexity. It definetly has some sweetness, but balances elegantly. Nice long aftertaste. Very enjoyable- by far the best christmas beer Ive tasted this year.

dates, raisin, candy sugar, caramel and licorice. very estery and straight forward belgian, very boozy, and a slight leathery taste which is a negative... a bit too carbonated and gets quite boring..

On tap @Mad For Beer (Rome). Pours dark brown-mahogany, medium off-white head that rapidly disappears. Aroma is overripe fruits, esters, candy, brown sugar, spices. Flavour is very sweet, fruity (baked apple), candy, caramel, alcol. Full body, low carbonation. Just another Christmas beer...

Bottle of 75cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge. Very nice Christmas Ale, with hot spicy and sugar notes, beautiful brown appearance. Nice aroma and taste of Trappist yeast, moderate sticky palate. Love it

750 bottle from the LCBO.

Appearance: Pours a murky brown with three fingers of dense tan head that lasts a couple of minutes. It then fades leaving little lacing.

Aromas: Belgian yeast, appricots and candied fruit.

Flavours: Candied fruit, Belgian yeast, prunes, plums, figs, hop notes.

Mouthfeel: Moderate viscosity with high carbonation.

Overall: A nice quadruple with lots going on in the way of aromas and flavours. It isnt something I would want to drink all the time but it is nice on occasion like at Christmas.
