From a large bottle, pours a very dark brown with a nice off white head. I smell raisin, holiday spices, malt and dry fruit. I taste all of the same with a creamy mouth feel and smooth finished.

Rating #1376 - 12.12.2014 - Sample from @HorizonKyle. Clear, dark brown pour, bubbly tan head that fades to a ring in my St. Ambroise chalice. Aroma is toffee, black licorice, toasted fennel. Taste is alcohol, toffee malts, licorice, fennel - a nice mix of sweet, and tart. Beautiful Christmas ale.

Red with "fizzy" sounding tan head. Raspberry, cherry, caramel and Belgian yeast. Sweet, sticky, cloying, earth, dry and spicy finish. Overall: Overrated, average and over-carbonated.

Draft at uber. I was inspired by Crow to finally start plugging the gaps in my "classic Belgian" beer list. Clear ruby-tinged mahogany pour. Small head, some lacing. Aroma is quite fruity, in that Belgian cherry redvine kind of way. Caramel, some spice (clove mainly). Tastes rather sweet, almost syrupy but dries out enough in the end to remain drinkable. Full body, velvety syrupy texture. Overall: missing that extra something to draw me in for a repeat.

From 330ml. Pours dark brown with a ridiculous head, seriously, took like five minutes to get this into the glass waiting for the thick pillowy head to subside. The nose features a nice whiff of spice and malt, while the complex flavors are all over the place - cinnamon, coriander, clove, raisins, caramel and banana. The warming alcohol makes this a good choice for cold winter nights (with or without a fire). Outstanding.

dark mahogany colour, large, creamy beige-ish head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of dried figs, plum, maybe some cherries, too, raisin notes, herbs, hints of anise, gingerbread and candy sugar; taste is the same, though a little bit masked by a bit too agressive carbonation; would be perfect with a bit less CO2
