Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of fruit, and some other hints, maybe some spices, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and a hint of hops with a nice bittersweet finish.

From a bomber. Pours a ruby amber brown and makes a typical thick StB head. Aroma of dark fruits and cinnamon and maybe cardamom and yeast. Tastes of raisins, malt, and spice. A beautiful ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Igazi karácsonyi hangulatot árasztó főzet mind csomagolásában, mind elegáns megjelenésében, megnyerő illataiban. Elragadó szerecsendiós, szegfűszeges, éles kontúrú aromák kelnek útra, a vibráló ízjegyek hírnökei ezek. Magabiztosan hordozza megannyi fűszer, kandiscukor, vérpezsdítő vörösbor hangulatát, élénk teste a magas alkoholfok ellenére is józanítóan hat. Klasszikus ünnepi hangvételű alkotás, annak minden tökéletességével együtt.

Medium dark brown- huge tan head. Aroma is yeasty, musty, dried fruit with effervescent sweetness. Taste o candy sugar, banana, raisin, candied oranges, apricots. Finish is toffee and fermenting fruits. Unique, yet so very Belgian in character.

Bottle. Pours a reddish copper, creamy khaki head, islands of lace. Nose is spicy, malt, sugar, caramel. Tastes sweet, slightly bitter, decent spice, I’m getting a little cinnamon, caramel, a little hot. I like the spice.

Draft. Dark reddish brown with little head. Lots of spice in the aroma but the taste is dominated by syrupy cherry fruitiness. Medium sticky mouthfeel. Ok.

Really nice. Full, round mouthfeel and great dark caramel color. Maybe my favorite Christmas beer.

33 cl bottle at home, BBE date July 2018. Pours a deep red-brown colour, thin head which soon disappears. Aroma of fruit, sweet malt and just a hint of the usual spices. Taste is of juicy sweet malt and fruit soaked in booze. Again, there is spicing in there, but it is subtle and not overpowering. On the palate the beer is quite effervescent to start, making a lively drink, but it soon settles. Nice dry finish. Overall, not bad. I think this would mature quite nicely, so the others go back into storage for a year or two.
