Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors, 750 ml caged corked bottle. Dark chestnut brown with an extremely thick and fluffy khaki colored head, thick, sticky lacing. Strong aroma - hints of bubble gum, rum raisin cake and alcohol. Good rib sticking flavor. Hints of licorice, molasses, raisins, touch of caramel, hint of booziness in the finish. Very warming and welcome. Good, thickish mouthfeel. Will be a standby at the liquor store this winter when nothing else new to rate.

Dark brown, thick creamy tan head. Soft fruity aromas of ripe plum and cherry that sit on spiced vanilla brown sugar tones. Dried fruit flavor is well balanced by yeasty sugary caramel notes and hints of rounding hop bitterness. Medium to full bodied, moderate carbonation, spiced dark fruit finish. A nice winter warmer without a doubt. Thanks for sharing, Brian!

Reddish brown, fairly large head with really good lacing and retention. Aroma is somewhat similar to Pannepot, I think there is some anise spicing here. Darker fruits, sugar and caramel are here as well. Some heat in the finish, relatively high carbonation light sweetness but mostly dry. It’s been a while since I’ve had a Bernardus beer, good stuff.

Bottle (thanks rlgk & larsniclas) shared with a bunch of RB:s. Deep red copper with medium to large fluffy head. Roasted and caramelly malt aroma with spicy and yeasty notes. Medium bodied with soft ´carbonation. Very good balance, with a discrete initial sweetness and a dry finish.

Pours a very dark brown with a huge, foamy light brown head. Smells very sweet. Molasses, candy sugar, dark malts, and spice come to mind and were all very prevalant. The flavor seemed a bit young, but was still quite tasty. Staying with the sweet theme, it had a good amount of holiday spice to it. I detected a good dose of cinnamon, alot of candy sugar and dark malts, with a mix of some dark fruit in there as well. Pretty tasty brew. Not in the Abt 12’s league by any means, but I think this could still improve with some age on it.
