Corked & Caged 750 ml Bottle. Dark reddish brown in appearance with an impressive layer of thick beige foam and lots of active carbonation trails. The aroma is a blend of caramelized sugars, figs, pears, yeast and panettone. The flavor offers up a healthy serving of toffee, toasted malt, raisins and black cherries in addition to some cinnamon, Belgian yeast and candi sugar notes. Also a moderate alcohol presence in the background that helps to keep the massive flavors in check. Mouthfeel is full-bodied and creamy with naturally strong carbonation while the finish brings a final dose of caramel, malt and holiday spices. Overall, an exceptionally tasty brew to celebrate the holidays with.

Had this one stewing for over a year. Finally. Racked it open. Pours a rosy brown with lees cloud. Thinner head that breaks down rather fast. Nose of brown sugar, malts and prunes. Similar taste of carmel malts, dried fruits, booze and mild yeast. A little thinner on the palate than I expected but a very nice beer.

Aroma: Dark fruits, caramel brown sugar and and berries. Pours a dark rich brown amber with a creamy beige head. Taste is delicious and delightful with sweet malts and dark fruit and toffee caramel and bright carbonation and a little alcohol and a lot of complexity. Very warming and satisfying!
