Bottle. Pours a hazy chestnut brown with a big, dense off-white/beige head. Malty, dusty and sweet aroma with notes of nuts. Feels pretty stingy, probably from too much carbonation, which felt annoying and interfered with the aroma. Flavour is (too) sweet; molasses and malt mixed with notes of nuts. Faint notes of plastic. Prunes? Slightly metallic as it warms. Feels a bit cloying. Slightly bitter finish with remote notes of yeast. A bit fruity. Too much carbonation. A decent, if somewhat standard, beer, but was too cloying. 11-04-09.
