Unique Belgian beer, top fermented and with bottle conditioning. This Easterbeer is a balanced equilibrium between sweet and bitter, between body and freshness. It has a malty and fruity nose with a thick, round froth. It is brewed in the rich tradition of the St. Bernardus Brewery, using only the very best malts, hops, and sugars. Our own yeast and the specific water of the brewery give our beers depth and strength. This Easterbeer lives up to our credo: St. Bernardus, bringing heavenly nectar within reach.

Bottled. A chestnut colored beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of yeast, dust, alcohol, caramel, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, yeast, alcohol, prunes, brown sugar, and some fruits, the alcohol gains in strength in the aftertaste and finishes off by tickling the palate quite extensively.

750 ml bottle. Amber body with a thin, dense off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty, caramel, brown sugar, yeasty and alcohol. Flavor is sweet candy sugar, dry fruit, caramel malt, spicy bitter and some alcohol. This is extremely well balanced, its actually difficult to find all the flavors immediate.

75cl, exclusive brew, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, yet easy to drink Easter Beer, cloudy, rocky head; good brew, but not balanced

Bottle. Pours a dark amber/brown colour with off-white head. The beer has a heavy feel to it. Nose is both fruity/flowery but also caramel and hops. The flavor is much of the same. Very good indeed.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy to murky brown with a dense tan head. Light yeasty and spiced aroma with a solid caramel malt base. Flavour is quite sweet, almost cloying, light yeasty and mild spiced. Shows a solid caramel malt base. Light yeasty and sweet finish. Quite yeasty and average Belgian brew.

DE Thisted afd. Easter beers 06. Red amber with a nice head. The aroma has notes of malt and dark fruits. The flavour has notes of candy sugar, caramel, fruit and citrus. Its overly carbonated and that disturbs the overall impression for me.

Bottle sampled on 6/23/07 shared by boboski: Pours a hazy dark copper mahogany with an airy well-lacing frothy off-white head. Aroma of sweet doughy bready malt with a touch of light fruity esters. Body starts fairly earthy and doughy caramely sweet with some biscuity malt. Smooth, nicely balanced and enjoyable Belgian strong ale.

(on bottle) Fad redbrown, light brown head. A beer with many layers; first pour was like a ambre, last one like a hardcore quad, difficult when sharing a bottle. A light beer of its kind.
