Aroma is malty with nice earthly notes and spices.
Taste is malty with some nice caramel addition, light dark fruits (cherry/prune), candi sugar and a good carbonation. Leaves an enjoyable tingly feel on the palate.
This one is a few steps under the greatness of the other Bernardus. Still a very enjoyable brew with just the right amount of alcohol. zathrus13 (1296), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

St. Bernardus brews always have that high carbonation that makes for a sexy mouthfeel. Lots of sweetness and awesomeness in this brew. jstraw (755), Chicago, Illinois, USA
