CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Oct 15, 2008 Updated: Oct 24, 2008Crushed with Jakebra. Very full bodied. St. Bernardus brews always have that high carbonation that makes for a sexy mouthfeel. Lots of sweetness and awesomeness in this brew. jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 11, 2008 Dark amber with big, foamy off-white head / Musty nose of cardboard and dark fruit / Medium body, malty and mildly sweet, with decent finish / Musty, muted, cooked flavors of malt, raisins, figs, and oak / Never sure how fresh these beers are, but based upon this - good but overrated. JK54B (913), Helsinki, Finland Oct 6, 2008 A bottle tasted at Vastarannan Kiiski with Mirjukka. Pale brown head. Pale reddish copper colour. A soft slightly malty taste with some hints of raisins. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Oct 3, 2008 Bottled. Hazy and dark brown in colour with a rather large off-white head. Sweet and malty with notes of dark dried fruit - caramel and yeast. rds (224), USA Oct 2, 2008 Super sudsy tan head atop an auburn brown body, this belgian warns you with a whiff of raisins, molasses and mildly sweet malt. The fruitiness persists pleasantly through the finish. Very smooth, very satisfying for relaxing with. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 28, 2008 Huge carbonated off-white head.Dark brown color with ruby highlights. Aroma of raisins, some malts. Tastes of fruit-raisin, malts. Smooth, not offensive at all. Not quite as rich as other offerings from this brewer. FatPhil (3446), Espoo, Finland Sep 26, 2008 330ml bottle (Vastarannan Kiiski, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks)
Bold orange, tiny head. Sweet fruity nose, and that’s matched in the palate too, which is very soft. Good malty body, but quite sweet. There’s a bit of tomato in the taste, weird. Very characterful fruity beer.
