Apr 26, 2008 Bottle, from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Russet brown, dense tan cap. Comforting warm spiced ginger cake aroma, golden raisins, banana. Peppery light caramel flavor, fairly aggressive carbonation. Softer and more delicate palate after swirling out some of the carbonation. A little cough-med mouth coating finish. (Not a bad thing.)

Apr 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours an opaque dark amber with a small cream head. Spice aroma. Roasted, spicy aroma. Very carbonated, in fact a little too much.

Apr 18, 2008 Nice carmel brown color, slight cloudiness. Soft, creamy, long lasting head. Aroma reminds me of a pleasant memory of the smell of a baby’s bid, splatter with fruity baby foods like pear and banana. Flavor is of darker and sourer fruits than aroma. Soft feel, aftertaste is a continuation of original taste and so very pleasant.

Light haze red-brown color, with beige head.
Aroma light roasted malts, fruits, sweet. Medium body.
Taste it’ like more than just 6 %,
good in balance, bit sweet, malts, fruits, some hopsbitterness.
And dry finish. NICE.

Apr 10, 2008 Pours deep murky brown color with a quickly descending lace leaving head. Winy aroma with some fruit maybe banana. I think there is a little bit more carbonation in here than I would have liked. Pretty thick though anyway. Roasty aftertaste... winy and yeasty. Pertty fruity, can’t really pick out specifics.

Apr 9, 2008 I expected too much I think. Sweet esters and yeasty aroma. Malty and slightly spicey but simple, then it doesnt really go anywhere from there. Avoid and get a trappist dubbel instead.

Apr 8, 2008 05/04 0.33 l bottle at Hopdevil, Zagreb. Darker reddish brown body with medium head. Dubbel aroma, winey with some slight fruitiness, very simple. Sweetish flavor, still fruity with some caramel and roasted sugar. Pleasant and well balanced with some slight coffee sourness. Medium bodied with no alcohol felt. Finish is pretty nice and long, caramel sweet. Good dubbel although I don’t like the style so much.

Apr 7, 2008 Hazy brownish color topped with a decent sized off white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, with malts and a winey characteristic. Sweet and sugary tasting, somewhat fruity with malt characters. Maybe a little too sweet. Medium bodied. A good tasting beer. Perhaps not my choice if I’m having more than a couple in the same seating. Not the cheapest thing either. Seemed similar to the Chimay Premier Red I had yesterday but if forced to I’d give this one the nod. "
